This is something that we may often think about, but don’t know where to turn to help the homeless in our cities. In Atlanta alone there are 7,000 homeless men, women, and children. That is a heartbreaking number! In the U.S. (which is considered a wealthy country) over a half a million people were reported […]

Your kids are the sweetest. Like mother, like children! 🙂 The other day I donated a huge pile of my toys too. It feels good to declutter and help someone who’s in more need of the items.

One of Macy’s Black Friday sales was $50 kid coats for $15. I bought four to give to families at the charity I work for. The holiday sales are such a good opportunity to get people great things. Next year I want to get a real fund together for some more shopping.
Each year I try to purge my family’s coats to donate. Amazing how coats accumulate and how many we really don’t need! Burlington Coat Factory also collects them, and I think they even give you a store coupon when you do 🙂
This is such a great idea! We have so much old warm weather stuff we don’t use anymore!
