“My Botanical paintings are nature-based abstractions, created with many layers of ink and watercolor. During the process, I work on the painting while it is lying flat, applying washes of color, then I hang it up to dry and repeat. I am inspired by the transparent nature of my medium and the interaction of color.  The process requires balance and control but invites spontaneity.”
