When you are so busy you barely have time to brush your teeth and get dressed, a skin care routine almost feels overwhelming. Up until this past year, I was crashing at night not even washing my face, and maybe taking my makeup off. It wasn’t good friends. Mid-winter my dry and patchy skin was […]

says:Great to hear you found a skincare routine that works for you! If you’re looking for an extra boost in your regimen, you might want to try BioRePeel CL. I’ve seen impressive results with this product, especially in improving skin texture and brightness. The biorepeel photo before after are pretty compelling, and it really complements a routine like Clinique’s. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re looking to elevate your skincare game!!
I’ve been riding the skincare struggle bus for yearrrsss. YEARS! Late last year I discovered acid toning, and it has worked miracles. My favorite product for the past 6 months or so has been the AHA Souffle. It’s 12% glycolic acid, which is way less harsh than it sounds. One bottle has lasted me all this time, and it was only ~$12!
For toner, the Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner costs about $8, and a single bottle lasts me about 8-9 months. Sometimes I use it in place of my morning face wash, because it’s really good at removing dirt and oils. In regards to face wash, my dermatologist has always told me those don’t matter as much, since it gets washed away immediately. However, every one i’ve been too has always suggested I try the old-school, orange-colored Neutrogena. They’re not lying when they say it’s “Dermatologist recommended”!
I’ve never been fortunate enough to use products from the same line; most lines usually only have one standout item for my needs. The dramatically different lotion is my favorite from Clinique.
Also, I wish I wasn’t too lazy to use a Sonic brush, regularly. 🙁

says:I had struggled for YEARS with sticking to a skincare regimen, but I think that was purely because I never seemed to find anything that worked well with my skin. Having rosacea, a lot of products tend to irritate my skin. After a chance meeting with a wonderful woman that also happened to be an Arbonne consultant, I was introduced to their Calm skincare line (4 steps!) and their RE9 anti-aging line (more steps, but literally only takes 5 minutes!). Both of them work really well with my skin and I tend to mix the two. And I am happy they do not have any nasty chemicals, mineral oil (developed from crude oil), preservatives, etc. I was put off by the price at first, but a little bit truly goes a long way. It’s not unheard of for my cleanser, moisturizer, etc. to last a good 6+ months. Since falling in love with the skincare and company philosophy, I took the plunge and also became a consultant and am loving every minute of it! And, of course, the discount, too. 😉
Hubby has fallen in love with the men’s stuff, too!
