When you are a hosting a shower you don’t have the extra hand to snap pics, but here are a  few! My sister Angela is expecting her first baby in May, my family came in from St. Louis to join us, and many old and new friends came to celebrate. I love how new life brings people together.

Our friends graciously opened their home so my sisters and I did food and decor. To be honest, I got a good dose of humility preparing for this shower as everything seemed to literally and figuratively fall apart the day of. I realized quickly event planning is not a gift of mine. However, the balloon garland and florals came out alright! (Succulent pots were game prizes.)

In reality, it’s the people gathered in the room that you remember for years to come when you need to be reminded of the strength a support circle can bring you. We can’t wait to meet this baby! A new buddy for Rocco;)
