DIY Boho fringe chandelier via In Honor of Design
DIY Boho fringe chandelier | In Honor of Design
As promised, here is the easy tutorial for this boho inspired fringe trim chandelier. I couldn’t quite find the finishing touch to the bedding area of the guest room refresh I was looking for. I wanted a decorative chandelier, but couldn’t quite find what I was looking for at the right price. I headed to my local craft store and browsed the trim aisle, and couldn’t believe I found every single detail needed to make this right in a row. The crochet effect trim, the tassels, the beading, etc. Read on for the DIY to make your own! Cross my heart it’s easy:)

Supplies

Supplies:
Wooden stitching hoops in three sizes (They are double looped and you can removed the inside loop to use)
2 yards Wooden Beaded Trim
2-3 yds Tassel Trim
2-3 yds Crochet Trim
2-3 yds Bullion Fringe Trim
Hot glue gun
Fishing wire
Ceiling Hook
Metal Ring
2 Large drapery tassels (optional)
*Depending on the store, you can get these trims on sale to reduce the cost. I bought all my supplies mine at Hobby Lobby for 30% off so the total cost for the chandelier was around $50. Time: 1 hr.

DIY Bohemian Chandelier

DIY Boho Fringe Chandelier Instructions:
1) Measure out the length of your beaded trim based on how low you want your chandelier piece to hang from the ceiling. You will want to cut enough length that you can loop around the first hoop and the metal ring where the three beaded strands will meet. Hot glue the ends around three points of your largest sewing hoop. Loop the top ends around the metal ring and glue to secure.
2) Measure and cut your crochet trim prior to gluing to fit the circumference of each of the sewing hoops.
3) Using your glue gun, attach the wide crochet trim to the three varying hoop sizes. (Align the top of the trim with the top of the hoops.)
4) Measure and cut your fringe trim. Glue the top of the fringe trim right underneath the bottom edging of the crochet trim around each hoop to allow a longer hanging length.
5) Measure and cut your tassel trim. You can glue the tassel trim around each hoop where the crochet and fringe trim meet.
6) Using clear fishing wire, measure and tie together each hoop on three different points evenly spaced, to the length you prefer. They will look like floating hoops!
7) If you like, you can tie two giant tassels around the top metal ring to finish the look.
8) Pre-drill your hold and screw in the ceiling before screwing in the hook. Hang your chandelier!

Please let me know if you have any questions. I hopefully didn’t confuse you!
If you try this out, I would love to see the results so be sure to pass along.

Happy Friday! We are taking advantage of our back patio tonight with some friends and family for some music and hang time, hitting up a dear friend’s wedding, and using Sunday to rest and plan the week.
Wishing you all a grand summer weekend!
