Bless. Bless these sweet little feet. The feet that spilled the bottle of black ink. The feet that smeared it all over the floor, That made sure no item in sight was ignored. What was going through his head? No one knows. Puddle jumping and merry making I suppose? Bless. Bless these moments that demand […]

Beautiful, Anna. I’m sure I would have freaked/been in tears had that happened in my house! Hope it came off your floors okay!
you are amazing. needed to read this. similar morning here but coconut flakes (millions) and black rocks covered in soot from the fireplace instead. bless indeed. you are quite the poet miss anna!
This may be my favourite post of yours to date. Leave it to you to find beauty even in the most annoying circumstances! I don’t blame you, of course – look at that face (and those toes!!!)

says:Beautiful Anna! I freak out over spilled milk and you write a beauty from spilled ink. Thank you for the reminder!
I can’t believe you had the composure to write a beautiful poem after all that! We had a similar happening with venetian violet (basically dark purple ink) when my little one had thrush at 1.5 months. Except it spilled on carpet. In our rental. To sum up the aftermath, I basically blocked it out of my memory. I don’t remember what happened afterwards, I think I was in too much shock. DEFINITELY not in a place to write a lovely poem 🙂
I read through the comments hoping to discover that you were able to get it out! I literally can’t handle stains! So glad you did! The poem is perfect. You are such a good mom 🙂
You are a saint, and I have much to learn from you. Love this perspective amidst the stains.
How beautiful Anna!

says:Gah! You are a saint…so beautifully said and always such good wisdom. Please once all the ink is cleaned up off the floor, pen the last 2/3s of this on a canvas for me. I need a daily reminder of this!
Anna @ IHOD
says:Oh I need a daily reminder too! 🙂 Thanks for the kind words Sara!

Love the reminder that they won’t be little forever. Easy to forget sometimes, especially amidst all the chaos and commotion.
