(I made this invitation for his birthday celebration:) Working on some DIY’s for the party…)

Today is my baby boy’s first birthday. Definately bittersweet for me… I know they say it goes by fast , but I still want to defy time and make each day last a year. Last night, Gabriel woke up from a bad dream crying so hard, so I ran in there to comfort him. As he laid his head against my chest holding his blankie, I couldn’t prevent the tears from falling…. I wanted the moment to last forever. I thank God for the opportunity to be a mother, and I look forward to having more children:) Motherhood isn’t always easy, but I have never experienced a greater love and joy in my life (next to marriage). It is a gift that I don’t take for granted…

Anna that invite is SOO cute! Got your message, so happy you loved it and can not wait to see him in it. Oh and how did I know our kiddos share a b-day!!!! Buggie is 4 today, bittersweet is just the right word.

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY!! Our boys are almost exactly a year apart!
The first birthday is VERY emotional. You have such a beautiful spirit. Gabriel is SO lucky to have you as his mother!! 🙂

Such a sweet post Anna, I know just how you feel. Each and every birthday for my son is very, very bittersweet to me. His is coming up on May 7th, he’ll be 7. I just can’t believe it. How have SEVEN years gone by? I recently found a video that I had never seen before that my husband made one night of the bedtime routine when my Noodle was about 2.5. I watched it about 100 times in a row, sobbing. I remember that age like it was a couple of months ago, not 4.5 years ago. Ah, motherhood!

Isn’t it fun what we do as Moms. The night before Kam turned one, I held him in my arms way into the night and let him sleep. I wanted to be there for the moment he became a year!
